These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the MrJ Tech website and your purchase, sale, or trade-in of any product through it. By browsing, creating an account, placing an order, or submitting a trade-in request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
MrJ Tech is a Nairobi, Kenya based retailer of genuine smartphones and accessories, operating both online at this website and in person. Any reference to "we", "us", or "our" refers to MrJ Tech; "you" refers to the customer using the site.
You may browse the site without an account, but an account is required to check out, view order history, or submit certain requests. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, including when signing in with Google. You must provide accurate, current information when registering and agree to notify us of any unauthorised use of your account.
All prices are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KSh) and are subject to change without prior notice. We make reasonable efforts to keep product descriptions, images, and stock levels accurate; however, errors may occur, and stock for some items is synced from an external inventory system and may change between when you view a product and when you order it. Where an item is unavailable after your order is placed, we will contact you to offer a substitute, a delay, or a refund.
Placing an order is an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline. An order is confirmed once we notify you of acceptance. You agree to provide accurate delivery and contact details. Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout; you are responsible for ensuring payment is completed correctly.
Delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed. Risk in the product passes to you on delivery to the address or person you specify. Please inspect items on delivery and report any damage or discrepancy to us promptly.
Products sold by MrJ Tech are genuine and, unless stated otherwise, come with the manufacturer's or MrJ Tech's local warranty as described on the product page. To report a fault or request a return, contact us with your order number within a reasonable time of receiving the product. Items must be returned in the condition received, with original accessories and packaging where possible. Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, unauthorised repair, or normal wear and tear.
Any valuation shown on the trade-in page — including AI-assisted estimates — is provisional and based on the information and condition you describe. The final trade-in value is confirmed only after our team physically inspects the device in person. We reserve the right to adjust or decline a trade-in offer if the device's actual condition, functionality, or ownership status differs from what was submitted.
By submitting a device for trade-in, you confirm that you are the lawful owner, that the device is not lost, stolen, or subject to any outstanding finance, and that it is not locked to an account (such as Find My iPhone or a Google/Samsung account) in a way that would prevent us from reselling it. You are responsible for backing up and erasing your personal data from the device before handing it over; MrJ Tech is not responsible for any data left on a traded-in device.
You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting unauthorised access, submitting false trade-in or order information, or using the site for any unlawful purpose.
All content on this site, including the MrJ Tech name and logo, text, and images, is owned by or licensed to MrJ Tech and may not be reproduced without permission, except as needed for your own personal use of the site.
To the extent permitted by law, MrJ Tech is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable laws of Kenya that cannot be excluded.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
